The Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Collar is a simple, effective and long-lasting solution to help reduce stress, anxiety and normal but unwanted behaviour in puppies, and promote harmonious living in multi-pet households. The Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Collar is a dog pheromone collar that uses scientifically recognised pheromone technology, and contains a copy of the naturally produced Dog Appeasing Pheromone (DAP). DAP is naturally produced by the mother when she nurses her puppies. DAP triggers an instinctive calming response, providing the puppies a continuous, reassuring message, and is a crucial part of the bonding process. DAP is instantly recognisable to all dogs, even if they were hand-reared. Dogs may show signs of stress or anxiety for many different reasons. Some are obvious, such as anxiety due to travelling, loud noises like fireworks or kennel stays, but others may be less obvious, such as changes learning periods and moving to a new home, which can contribute to unwanted behaviour, such as furniture chewing or urine marking. Once fitted, the collar works quickly, creating a calming effect within around 15 minutes that will travel with your puppy for up to four weeks. This makes it ideal for supporting puppies when coming to a new home, helping them, settle quickly into their new surroundings and routine, and supporting them during learning periods. It can also be sued to help puppies feel calmer during other long-term stressful situations, like fireworks and kennel stays, and supporting puppies with separation anxiety. Suitable for all breeds of dog from 8 weeks of age. For additional calming support, Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Collar can be used in combination with other Beaphar calming products.
Instructions
ALWAYS FULLY READ THE PRODUCT PACKAGING BEFORE USE. Do not open the sachet until you are ready to use the collar. 1. Place the collar around your puppy’s neck and slide the free end through the buckle. 2. Tighten the collar, leaving enough room to insert two fingers between the collar and neck. Do not fit too tightly to prevent irritation, but do not fit too loosely or your puppy may be able to get a foot or tooth under the collar and become caught up attempting to remove it. 3. Once you have established the correct size for your dog, cut off any collar sticking out beyond the buckle and throw it in your dustbin. 4. Remember to periodically check and loosen the collar if required as your puppy grows. After 4 weeks, a new Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Collar can be fitted for continue calming support. Ensure the Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Collar is in contact with the skin, and not overlapping a normal collar or the calming effect may be reduced. The collar must be fitted at least 15 minutes before a potentially stressful situation. Remove the collar before bathing or exposure to heavy rain.
