Beaphar Anti-Mange Spray for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Rats – 75ml
For rabbits and guinea pigs, Beaphar Anti-Mange Spray is an effective, veterinary-strength medicine containing ivermectin that treats and helps to prevent mange mite infestations in rabbits, guinea pigs and rats. UK veterinary medicine marketed in accordance with Schedule 6 of the VMR.
- KILLS MANGE MITES: Targets existing mange infestations and can be used to prevent them in the future. If left untreated, mange mites can cause uncomfortable itching, hair loss and inflammation of the skin that can lead to infection.
- VET-STRENGTH TREATMENT AND MANGE PREVENTION: Containing vet-strength Ivermectin, Beaphar Anti-Mange Spray can be used at any time of the year for mite prevention or treat an active infestation.
- EASY-TO-USE SPRAY FOR PRECISE APPLICATION: Simply stroke the fur/hair backwards and apply directly to the skin. For young or nervous pets, the spray can be applied to a gloved hand and rubbed onto the skin.
- SUITABLE FOR SMALL ANIMALS: For rabbits and guinea pigs from 4 weeks of age, and rats.
- TREAT THE ENVIRONMENT AND YOUR PETS: Even if only one pet has mange mites, it’s advisable to treat all animals in the hutch/cage at the same time. You should also treat the environment with a suitable insecticide.

Beaphar Anti-Mange Spray is an effective, veterinary-strength medicine containing ivermectin that treats and helps to prevent mange mite infestations in rabbits, guinea pigs and rats. Mange mite infestations are extremely uncomfortable for rabbits, guinea pigs and rats. The first signs are often severe itching and hair loss. Continuous scratching can cause the skin to become red and inflamed which may lead to skin infections. Beaphar Anti Mange is ideal for use at any time of year as a preventative measure or to treat an active infestation. If you suspect your pet has mange mites, it is advisable to treat all animals in the living space at the same time with a suitable product. The hutch or cage should also be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a product such as Beaphar Deep Clean Cage & Hutch Disinfectant, then treated with a suitable insecticide. Suitable for rabbits and guinea pigs over 4 weeks old, and rats.
Instructions
ALWAYS FULLY READ THE PRODUCT LABEL AND PACKAGING BEFORE USE. Wear plastic gloves when while using the product. Dosage: Rats: 1 spray Guinea pigs 4–9 weeks of age: 1 spray Guinea pigs from 9 weeks of age: 2 sprays Rabbits from 4 weeks of age: 2 sprays per kg of body weight This product will only work if the liquid solution reaches the skin. 1. Using a gloved hand, stroke the fur/hair backwards revealing the skin, and spray the affected area. 2. For the treatment of the head area, apply sufficient product to a cotton wool ball and apply this to the affected area. When treating young or nervous pets, application may be carried out by spraying onto a gloved hand and rubbing the product onto the coat. 3. Allow the animal to dry naturally. Do not towel dry. Ensure the liquid does not enter the mouth, eyes or nose. Repeat treatment after 10 days.

Serious reactions, including deaths, have been reported in dogs (especially Collies, Old English Sheep Dogs and related breeds), tortoises and turtles treated with products containing the active ingredient.
