With the Facial pheromone a cat marks a place as safe or nice, for example doorposts and table legs. They give humans heat butts for this reason as well. This pheromone is recognisable for all cat breeds and cats of all ages. The Feline Facial Pheromone helps with undesired behavior related to the environment. It also ensures that your cat or kitten gets a safe feeling in your house.

The reassuring Maternal Appeasing Pheromone (MAP) gives a safe and secure feeling and is crucial for the bond between a mother and her kittens. This pheromone is released by the mother cat while nursing her kittens and is recognized by cats of all ages. Among other things, it helps with social problems (e.g. to promote a harmonious relationship between cats or with their owner) and it is also very suitable for kittens when they move to their new owner and have to deal with many new impressions during the socialization period.

What are pheromones?

Pheromones are chemical compounds made by the animal itself. These substances are immediately recognizable by animals of the same species. There are different pheromones. They each cause their own instinctive reaction. Pheromones are sensed through the air by the Jacobson's Organ which is located above the palate close to your cat's nose.

Does CatComfort® Excellence make my cat sleepy?

No, your cat will not get sleepy from Beaphar CatComfort® Excellence. Pheromones ensure that your cat is reassured without making it sleepy or drowsy. You also don't have to worry that your cat seems relaxed but still suffers from stress internally. That is certainly not the case with CatComfort® Excellence.
