If your bird is suffering from blood mite, it is important to treat both the bird and its environment. Beaphar’s assortment contains a special anti blood mite spray to treat your bird cage. You can treat your bird with “anti-parasite” or Bogena bird spray. You can prevent blood mite reinfection by putting insect strips on your bird’s perch. This will kill blood mite if they try to reach your bird through the perch.
Your bird can also suffer from other mites. Generally, you can recognize a mite infection by scaley foot. Mites crawl under the skin of your bird.
