Recommended for guinea-pigs up to one year of age, XV junior has the higher levels of protein that a growing animal needs. Vitamins are added in chelated form, which protects them from decomposition, and makes them more readily available to the guinea pig. This includes Vitamin C which they must have in their diet, as they cannot synthesize it themselves. XV junior has much more Vitamin C compared to the adult version as younger animals need more.
